I believe whether you are a rocket scientist or a pooper scooper in the elephant exhibit you should do that job to the BEST of your ability. God has you there for a reason. Commit your works to him and He will bless you! If you are a teacher, God has placed you before a multitude of impressionable young people. What an honor. These two verses reinforce the importance of my job. In the big scheme of things, they reinforce ALL my jobs…whether I’m teaching a new concept or washing laundry or writing a devotional. ♡ Be blessed.

Having to start new pages in my prayer journal is evidence of many answered prayers and much to praise about!  Of course, I believe every prayer is answered.  However, the answer isn’t always what I hoped for, but I have faith in God’s decisions concerning my heart’s desires.  I’m curious, do you keep a prayer journal?  Do you write in it daily?  Do you write about your praises?  Do you copy verses when you can’t find the words? I would love to hear about yours in the comments! ♥

I realize my oddities. One of those being concerned about leaving a mess behind when I die. I try to clean the fingernail clippings off the night stand because ‘I don’t want that left behind when I die’, and I try to keep the coffee maker clean since nobody else drinks it. I also try to keep my nappy yard work clothes washed the same day, my truck clean, the bills put in the same spot, the lint cleaned out of dryer, important papers in the filing cabinet, a reserve of toilet paper for my  family, etc. What’s most important, though, is not that we have prepared where we are leaving but if we have prepared for where we are going. Do you know where you are going? John 14:6

What do these have in common?
My husband bought me a new study Bible yesterday. He told me to go pick out any one I wanted. I went to the section for the translation I wanted, red lettering, etc and then I found myself pilfering thru them, sitting some back down, taking some out of the box and flipping them over, sifting thru the colors…all because I wanted a “pretty” one. After I found one I liked I realized I did the same thing so many of us do. We are attracted to appearance rather than what is on the inside. Just like this egg, it’s what’s on the inside that matters. We are gonna throw that shell away! 
It’s great to have our hair did and our makeup spot on but is your soul pretty? Jesus is the ONLY one who can clean it.♡
